This department store was the preeminent retail establishment in the area. Block and Kuhl expanded into 19 stores, with 17 in Illinois and 2 in Iowa. In 1961, Carson Pirie Scott & Co. took over the business. 100% combed and ringspun cotton, preshrunk, 4.2 oz. Super soft with a fashion fit.
