Only 3% of Earth's water is fresh, 2.5% of that water is unavailable; locked in glaciers, polar icecaps, atmosphere, soil, polluted, or too deep in Earth's surface to be extracted. Only 0.5% available as fresh water that is continually collected, purified, and distributed in the natural hydrologic cycle.
