Our aged brass patina is achieved using chemical manipulation, which forces the brass to develop a layer of oxidation to protect itself, also known as patination. To preserve and protect the patina, we apply a clear lacquer to prevent the clock from further oxidation (ageing). Handmade in our studio in Perth, Western Australia. The perfect minimalist piece; our aged brass clock has been oxidised to perfection providing a luxe, modern and sophisticated finish. And, whether you love a trend, or brass is just your thing - there is no denying this clock's beauty. How is it made? Each and every clock we make is cut, shaped, sanded, patinated and assembled with care in our Perth, Western Australia studio. Our aged brass patina is achieved using chemical manipulation, which forces the brass to develop a layer of oxidation to protect itself, also known as patination. To preserve and protect the patina, we apply a clear lacquer to prevent the clock from further oxidation (ageing). We then affix a silent, quartz, clock mechanism and test your clock over a 24 hour period before it is wrapped up and shipped to your home. If you’d like to personalise your clock with a special message, date, time, name or initials, use the dropdown list to select engraving.
