Earlier in the week, I gave these olive-color ankle pants by Loft my "work staple" blessing and styled them with a wool blazer. Today's outfit, modeled by Erin, a member of the Penny Chic team, shows a different silhouette for the pants but one equally as perfect. These pants are more high-waisted, which make them great for a tuck-in (as we highlighted last time), but thanks to the cropped length,they also look flattering and just as polished with tops that are untucked. Why? Just showing that teensy bit of ankle at the hem keeps the outfit from looking too heavy with fabric or sloppy. The short-sleeve tweed blouse by Princess Vera Wang that I found at Kohl's also helps in the elegance department. When in doubt, trust Chanel's material of choice and go tweed for an automatic polish. For a final touch of glam, I added a fab crystal necklace to help transition the outfit from office attire to evening plans.
