The peanut fruits form at the end of these pegs. </div> <div> </div> <div>Peanut plants help improve the soil by <em>fixing</em> <em>nitrogen</em> into the soil.</div> </div> <div> </div> <div>Peanuts can grow up to 50 cm tall.</div> <div> </div> <div>From seedling, it takes about 2-3/2-4 months to fruit.</div> <div> </div> <div> <div>Peanut loves a sunny spot, well drained, rich soil. Water regularly, Mound soil around the plant as it grows. It can be planted in large pots 50 cm wide and 30 cm deep. </div> <div>It needs protection from strong winds.</div> </div> <div> </div> <div>It has a fruiting period of approximately 2 months.</div> <div> </div> <div>Harvesting: </div> <div>Plant leaves turn yellow - dig up the entire plant.
