This large rustic looking shell mirror by Petya Bates is decorated with a range of pretty seashells that perfectly emphasises the uniqueness of nature. These contemporary seashell mirrors are individually handmade and will certainly lift the spirits within your living room; bedroom or reception rooms whilst also bringing energy, style and harmony to your home. The oyster shells in particular are predominantly off-white in colour with beautiful violet-purple streaks, whilst the insides offer a lustrous pearlescence. All the shells are natural and have been collected from local beaches. “In the last three years I’ve had some challenging periods in my life,” says Petya and “walks by the sea have helped me tremendously to get through”. Each time I couldn’t resist picking up the beautiful shells until one day I realised that I had collected so many wonderful memories in my box that I decided to share those memories with my family and friends by creating some beautiful mirrors. “When I look at the shells now, the sea calms and comforts me, even within my own home”. “Each of my mirrors represents a small piece of trips and walks by the sea and each one has its own story”. “I hope my story brings light and harmony to others.” Frame size: approx 57 x 67 cm (22.5 x 26.5 inches)
