Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council
The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council (SONC) forms the grassroots level of Los Angeles City government and is one of 99 city-wide neighborhood councils that advise Los Angeles City Councilpersons, School Board members, and other City officials and agencies on matters of local concern. SONC board members are public officials elected by Sherman Oaks stakeholders such as residents or those with business interests, or, in the case of youth and vacant seats, appointed persons.
