ECWCS Level 1 Polartec® is a thermal jacket that is part of a 7-layer clothing system designed to provide maximum comfort for soldiers in various climatic conditions at temperatures from -40 to +16 ℃. The main purpose of this base layer is to effectively remove sweat and moisture from the body during intense physical activity. Made of thin and smooth Polartec® material, this thermal jacket is highly ventilated thanks to the capillary effect. This two-component material wicks moisture from the inside out, distributing it over the surface for rapid evaporation. The material dries twice as fast as natural cotton. Polartec fabric is treated with silver ions using Odor Resistant® technology, which guarantees reliable antibacterial protection and prevents the appearance of unpleasant odors. It also has almost 100% UV protection (UPF50+ index), making it ideal for long periods of sun exposure.
