1HZ HELP!! can't get injector pump gear off to rebuild pump..

getting my 1HZ fuel injector pump rebuilt and the shop calls me and says they can't get the pump off (they have not used heat due to not want to damage the seal i told em to heat it ill get a new seal.. SO are there any tricks to getting that gear off the shaft / so the pump can be removed &
