Setsubun-sai (Festival for the Last Day of Winter)
Setsubun-sai (Festival for the Last Day of Winter) will be introduced. This is the official website of Samukawa Jinja Shrine, the Ichi-no-miya (main shrine) in Sagami province, since ancient times, the one and only home of the Happo-yoke. Samukawa Jinja Shrine has been worshipped as a guardian deity who presides over Happo-yoke.
Waterloo Region DSB on X: We wish everyone in the Shinto community good fortune today, as they celebrate Setsubun-sai. Also known as the Bean-Throwing Festival, this day marks the end of winter and the first day of Spring. / X
